We often get asked if we can provide commissioning only services to DIY installed MVHR units. 

Our qualified BPEC engineers are experienced in balancing, testing and commissioning all types of MVHR or extract systems to ensure suitable compliance with PART F certification and UK Building Regulations. 

We commission whole house ventilation systems including single house, flats, social housing or student apartments. 

Inline with our policy to deliver clean, fresh Indoor Air, we will also take additional steps to measure certain indoor air quality levels and offer advice to ensure your system not only operates efficiently, but allows the best possible air quality based on your surroundings and environmental conditions.

Alongside our installations we also provide servicing and repair to all types of MVHR and extract systems. 

It is recommended that all MVHR units have an annual service to ensure efficiency is maintained. Direct filter replacement options are available on request.

There are several advantages to this sort of single-ducted room version. A d-MVHR unit ensures a constant flow of fresh, filtered air through your home, regardless of the conditions inside or outside the house. For existing buildings or retro-fit applications this type of system allows significant improvements to indoor air quality with minimum installation impact. Excessive build-up of moisture due to the increased air tightness in our existing homes can lead to a growth of microorganisms such as mould or fungi . These damp related environments can cause health problems, such as asthma. Decentralised ventilation with integrated heat recovery ensures maximum energy efficiency and air quality.

C-MEV and D-MEV Installation

 A Centralised Mechanical Extract Ventilation (C-MEV) system is a low energy, continuous mechanical extract ventilation system. It is designed to extract moist and stale air from multiple rooms including kitchens and bathrooms. A C-MEV unit provides a quiet system and is more efficient than having separate fans in each room. A C-MEV is more commonly known as a Mechanical Extraction Ventilation (MEV). 

 A D-MEV (Decentralised Mechanical Extract Ventilation) is a ventilation system which is designed to replace conventional bathroom fans to draw out moisture laden air from wet rooms such as bathrooms and utility rooms. A D-MEV system provides a more efficient and a quieter system than separate fans.
